The inauguration ceremony was attended by representatives of PT GNI management as well as local government officials.

This initiative also represents a key component of the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program, aimed at improving the availability of educational facilities and the quality of education in areas surrounding its operations. The schools constructed by PT GNI since 2024 feature two-story buildings, with initial facilities including classrooms, a principal’s office, teachers’ rooms, standard-compliant sanitation facilities, and other supporting infrastructure. Additionally, PT GNI has provided learning resources such as desks, chairs, and blackboards.

The Regent of North Morowali, Delis Julkarson Hehi, on behalf of the Regency Government, expressed his sincere gratitude to PT GNI for establishing such excellent facilities to support education in North Morowali. “This demonstrates that the presence of businesses and investment contributes positively to the region,” stated Delis.

The spacious buildings of Mia Meambo Elementary School and Mia Pande Junior High School will be developed into regional vocational centers, serving as venues for courses and training programs to prepare North Morowali’s workforce to meet the demands of a rapidly evolving era.

“This reflects the Regency Government’s vision of establishing an educational center to prepare a better next generation for North Morowali,” he emphasized.

In his remarks, Mr. Li Kaiguo, Site Management Leader of PT GNI, emphasized that the company consistently upholds the principle of developing a region, building it, and giving back to the community. He also stated that PT GNI will continue to increase its investments in philanthropy, education, healthcare, environmental conservation, and child welfare.

“Moving forward, we will always uphold our original intention to work together with the community and realize a beautiful and prosperous North Morowali, as envisioned in our shared aspirations,” he stated.

This inauguration serves as tangible evidence of the synergy between the business sector, local government, and the community in promoting equitable education. The established collaboration is expected to serve as a model for other regions, where the private sector actively contributes to creating positive social impact.

As a company operating in North Morowali, PT GNI reaffirms its commitment to not only being an industry player but also a responsible and sustainable development partner.

He concluded, “PT GNI hopes that this school will nurture generations of young people from North Morowali who will make Indonesia proud.”
