PT GNI Distributes Concrete Assistance for the Construction of the Trans-Sulawesi Road

MORUT – The nickel industry company, PT Gunbuster Nickel Industry (GNI), is demonstrating its commitment to regional development by constructing a concrete road along the Trans-Sulawesi route.
The assistance was used for the construction of a road հատված located in Rama Hamlet, Bungintimbe Village, East Petasia District, North Morowali Regency, Central Sulawesi.
The Head of Public Relations of PT GNI, Sun Gang, stated that the construction of the national road is a tangible form of the company’s contribution to improving the quality of regional infrastructure, particularly to facilitate community mobility.
“For us, success is not only about numbers, but about how much benefit can be felt by the communities around the company’s operational area. At present, we are moving forward together with the residents of East Petasia to bring real change through the construction of the Trans-Sulawesi road in Bungintimbe Village,” said Sun Gang on Friday (March 27, 2026).
He explained that the road construction is carried out in stages, starting from clearing the road area, leveling the ground, to the concrete pouring process. All stages are executed with high-quality standards to ensure the road’s long-term durability.
According to him, this project serves as clear evidence of collaboration between the private sector and the government in advancing infrastructure development in the region.
PT GNI, he added, has contributed high-quality concrete materials used for the construction of a 984-meter road with a thickness of approximately 25 centimeters.
“Through this construction, it is hoped that there will no longer be obstacles for the community in carrying out their activities, considering that the road condition in the area was previously severely damaged,” he said.
The Trans-Sulawesi road in Bungintimbe Village itself is a strategic route that serves as the lifeline of North Morowali Regency’s economy, as it connects the area with other regions.
Sun Gang added that the company also pays special attention to the quality of the road construction so that it can be used by the community for a longer period of time.
“This development is not the end, but the beginning of a new chapter of growth for East Petasia District together with the company. We are committed to continuing to be a partner in sustainable development, because we believe that when regions progress, the nation moves forward as well,” he concluded.
