“We are trusted to be given access to get the opportunity to encourage lobster cultivation. We have been running for a month, our local lobster supply is overwhelmed to do breeding because the supply of seeds (from GNI) is extraordinary," Andri said when interviewed, Tuesday (21/12/2021).
Andri continued that there have always been ups and downs in the economic matters when running a lobster cultivation business, especially related to the different price standards between the harvest season and the non-harvest season. According to Andri, assistance from PT GNI was utilized to guarantee price certainty and value-added economics.
In addition, the existence of PT GNI also provides benefits, especially in absorbing the workforce of the surrounding community. Iwan Sondeng, a Morut resident who serves as Site Manager at PT Santoso Setia Murni, said that the company's presence also improves the quality of the local workforce and is very helpful to residents.
"After the existence of GNI here, besides the fact that we can work and absorb local workers, we can also change from the smaller contractor to become a bigger contractor," he concluded.
